From 2020 to 2021, I sought to document healthcare in locations ranging from an overflowing Honduran COVID-19 ICU to an Arkansas university. This album contains a sample of my coverage for The Bison and The Christian Chronicle.

In Benoni, South Africa, I had the privilege of covering a nonprofit organization that helps girls receive a consistent education by meeting their monthly hygienic needs with period products. See the accompanying article I wrote here

The news assignments for The Christian Chronicle have varied widely, but each day has brought a new opportunity to connect with communities we cover. This album contains coverage of mass shootings, natural disasters, refugee resettlement, a youth convention and a support group for people with chronic pain.

Going back to my rural roots, I've photographed a variety of livestock events, including features on the Southern Baptist Convention president in Texas and the Cherokee Nation's growing bison herd in Oklahoma for The Associated Press

I had the opportunity to shoot a variety of events my senior year as head photographer for the campus newspaper, The Bison. From having Dr. Pepper sprayed on my camera lens at concerts to freezing my fingers covering a campus-wide snowball fight, there was never a boring gig.

While traveling, I always carry my camera and shoot freelance. This habit has led to many shots from around the world that I am proud to add to my collection. However, as one of my mentors frequently reminds me, "It's not hard to take beautiful photos in inspiring places; the sign of a professional is when they can take inspiring photos in the most ordinary places."
